History
The ROMITT Journey – – – – – >
Back in 1924 great-grandfather Van’t Hof started as a shoemaker. Repairing shoes was similar to repairing rubber tires for a bicycle or
T-Ford. In the 1930s, he started trading in tires and oil.

Grandfather Van’t Hof expanded the business and started a tyre factory where he produced car tyres. In the roring 70s grandfather sold his tire factory to Vredestein.
– – > Tyre Trading International
Our foundations were laid in 1988 when Peter van’t Hof established TTI (Tyre Trading International), building it into a respected name in the wholesale tire business. With deep industry knowledge and strong manufacturer relationships, TTI served clients across multiple continents for many years.

Leadership transitioned to the next generation when Peter-Alexander van’t Hof joined the family business in 1999, bringing fresh perspectives while maintaining the core values of quality and service.
– – – – – – – – > Passion for tyres
Following challenging market conditions that led to TTI’s closure in 2022, the Van’t Hof family’s passion for the tire industry remained undiminished. This led to the establishment of ROMITT – representing a new chapter that combines decades of industry expertise with renewed energy and vision.
